Engure lake (Engures ezers)

Engure lake is an important bird nesting place, there are also pasture of wild horses and cows next to the lake. But visually most impressive and unique is the man-made canals in the reeds at the lake's northern part for making it more appropriate to bird nesting. This scene from above usually creates the first association with the ornaments made by "UFOs" in the crop fields.
